Appointments: Thornton’s sweet for Euro Garages & more

EURO Garages, the Lancashire-based petrol station and forecourt retail operators,  has appointed James Thornton as finance director.

Thornton, who qualified with accountancy firm PwC. was previously FD at Blackburn-based Cloverleaf Restaurants, which was bought by listed pub group Greene King for £56m earlier this year.

He joins family-owned Euro Garages, which is also based in Blackburn, as it continues to expand.

NORTH West accountancy firm Cowgill Holloway has boosted its Manchester corporate finance team with the appointment of Mark Bringloe as a director.
