Video – ‘Green Investment Bank is Manchester’s future’

THE Green Investment Bank campaign in Manchester is continuing to gather pace with leading professionals taking to film to advance the city’s case.

Led by pro.manchester chief executive John Ashcroft – who is heading the campaign for the £3bn institution – the video includes Manchester city council leader Sir Richard Leese,  Greater Manchester LEP chairman and BT regional director Mike Blackburn, David Gray, office managing partner of DLA Piper, Deloitte corporate finance partner Paul Lupton, Simon Allport, Manchester office seniopr partner at Ernst & Young, and Cobbetts’ corporate partner Paul Johnson.

The film sets out Manchester’s credentials for hosting the Green Investment Bank – including its professional services and business infrastructure, international connectivity and green credentials.

The Government, which said last week that more than 20 locations had expressed an interest in being ‘home city’, is expected to make a decision in late February or early March.
