Appointments: Howgate Sable; Landwood

HOWGATE Sable, the executive search firm based in Manchester, has promoted Neil Humphreys to an equity partner.

Humphreys who joined the business, which also has offices in London, Leeds and Sheffield, in 2010, specialises in the engineering and supply chain sectors.

Managing partner Steve Banks said: “This appointment is in recognition of the strong contribution Neil has made to the firm over the last 18 months. Having demonstrated outstanding capability in delivering on national and international assignments, we were keen to secure his future with Howgate Sable.

LANDWOOD Group, the Manchester-based asset management and surveying firm, has appointed Brian Parkinson to its Plant and Machinery (P&M) division.

He joins Landwood having spent more than 40 years in the profession and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience of plant and machinery asset valuation and disposal.

Before moving to Landwood he built up a successful P&M consultancy in Yorkshire.

Pakinson said: “I was particularly attracted by the company’s growing focus on providing P & M and asset valuation and disposal services. It’s the kind of approach that sets Landwood apart.

“There is an excellent team already in place and I’m looking forward to working with them to develop and raise the profile of our P & M services both in the North West and nationally.”
