Sky to create 50 new sales jobs

SKY has announced plans to recruit 50 new sales staff in Manchester.

The new staff will be selling Sky’s TV, broadband and phone packages face-to-face.

The company said employees would receive full training and a package that included uncapped commission, free Sky+ and broadband and discounted phone rates.

Pascal Wharton, director of face-to-face sales at Sky, said: “Our sales people are essentially the face of our brand and they get the opportunity to make that all-important first impression.

“Ideally, candidates for these jobs will have some sales experience, but we’re more interested in how they talk to customers and how we feel they will represent our brand.”
