Historic recording studio up for sale

A Cheshire recording studio used by the likes of New Order, the Buzzcocks and The Who is on the market.
Jones Lang Lasalle has been instructed by a private pension fund to sell Revolution Recording Studios in Cheadle Hulme. The fund, whose name has not been disclosed, is asking for £410,000 for the building.
The detached property has been a studio for the past 35 years. Rock performers such as Eric Clapton and Iggy Pop have used its facilities but it also has close connections to the Manchester music scene.
Tom Cunningham, from Jones Lang LaSalle’s licensed leisure team who is advising on the building’s sale, said: “This is a rare investor opportunity to acquire an established recording studio which has been at the forefront of music recording in the UK and host to a long list of successful artists, many of which, like New Order and 808 State are synonymous with the Manchester music scene.”
Revolution is expected to continue as a recording studio with producer, and one-time owner, Andy Macpherson staying on on a freelance basis.
Jones Lang LaSalle is selling the freehold and the recording equipment will be sold separately.
