Halliwells moves into liquidation

BDO partners Dermot Power and Shay Bannon have been appointed as liquidators of collapsed Manchester law firm Halliwells.

The pair, who were appointed as joint administrators to the firm by its secured creditor Royal Bank of Scotland 18 months ago, were appointed as liquidators last Thursday (January 12).

The appointment gives them greater powers to investigate company records and to pursue former partners for drawings taken from the business in the run-up to the partnership's administration on July 20, 2010.<...
