NW IoD boss Matthews seconded to London HQ

DARRELL Matthews, the North West director of the Institute of Directors, is moving to the business lobbying organisation’s London headquarters on a six-month secondment.

Mr Matthews, who has led the IoD since 2008, will lead IoD’s membership team as Head of Corporate Membership.

He said said: “I’m very excited to be taking this opportunity. The IoD already has a strong reputation for supporting businesses and this secondment will help us to look at how we adapt to the current climate and needs of members.”

His role will be covered by Lara Ross, who will provide support for events and sponsorship. She previously worked for the IoD from 2005 unttil 2009, before joining  Fido PR in Manchester.
