AppSense boosts international footprint as orders soar

TECHNOLOGY business AppSense, the Warrington and New York-based pioneer of user virtualisation software, which allows computer users to access their desktop from any other computer, has reported further growth in its order book.

The company, which plans to float in New York in 2013 and have hit $100m in revenues then too, said orders grew 46% in the second half of 2011.

It said to meet rising global demand it would open offices in Brazil, Hong Kong and Singapore in the second half of this year.

The company said the Singapore office would serve as a hub for its growth in the Asia-Pacific region and particularly its initial entry into China and Korea and support its business in Australia and New Zealand, where it already has more than 400 customers.

Chief executive Darron Antill said: “Worldwide demand for user virtualization is driving our growth and greatly expanding our global footprint.

“Our enterprise customers require service and support offerings at the local level, and we see tremendous opportunity to positively impact businesses in these new geographies with our user virtualization solutions.”
