NORTH West bar and pub firm Baa Bar is opening its first venue outside this region.

Backed by Yorkshire Bank out of Liverpool, Baa Bar is opening a new site tomorrow in Hockley, Nottingham

Baa Bar was first launched in Liverpool in 1991 and now has nine unique late-night venues in Liverpool, Wigan and Manchester.

The latest bar  is the first in an expansion plan that will see Baa Bars opening in other parts of the country.

Elaine Clarke, chief executive of Baa Bar said: “The UK pub industry is going through a very challenging time at the moment but Baa Bar is bucking the trend, opening new venues and expanding into new territories.

“The finance and banking management from Yorkshire Bank has allowed us to open this exciting new venue in Nottingham which will see Bar Baa go from strength to strength.”

Simon Berry, business partner at Yorkshire Bank’s Financial Solutions Centre in Liverpool said: “Baa Bar has always had a sound business plan, always looking for new opportunities and ways of growing the company.

“The new venue at Nottingham could be the first of many and Yorkshire Bank is working closely with them to support that growth.”
