Accountancy firm joins international group

ACCOUNTANCY firm Duncan Sheard Glass has boosted its international footprint by joining professional association DFK International.
The practice, which has offices in Liverpool, Southport and North Wales, has become the 18th UK member of DFK International, which is an association of more than 300 offices in over 80 countries.
Duncan Sheard Glass employs 70 staff and has seven partners, becomes the 18th UK member of the association and is anticipating a lead in to more international work.
Partner Paul Hyland said: “We are certainly seeing an increase in international work and want to grow that further.
“That is coming from existing clients who are looking to do more in export markets due in part to the economic downturn, but we are also keen to attract more work from overseas companies looking to trade in the UK.
“Having a network of like-minded firms across the globe does add to our appeal and allows us to widen our offer.”
Suk Aulak, chairman of DFK UK and Ireland, added: ““While DSG was looking to increase its international spread, we were working to recruit another high quality firm in the North West.
“DFK allows independent accountancy practices to work with each other on every continent and we have UK members who have really benefited from membership in recent times.”
