Pochin’s construction arm wins £55m in orders

POCHIN Construction, has boosted its order book by winning eight contracts worth more than £55.25m in the last six months.

The largest of the projects will see the Middlewich-based firm, the construction division of listed property development group Pochin’s, build a £27.45m, 778-bed student accommodation facility at Edinburgh Napier University on behalf of City Heart.

Work has started on site and is scheduled to complete by July 2013.

Pochin is also on site for Nestle Water UK Ltd which has awarded it a £13.5m contract for a new storage facility in Buxton. The 250,000 sq ft facility, which is known as Project Merlin, is scheduled to take 30 weeks to build.

It has also won a tender from Cambian Healthcare to build a £3.1m healthcare facility in Nottinghamshire.

Closer to home,  Pochin has been awarded a £2.9m contract to construct new student accommodation on Prescott Street in Liverpool, and on the Wirral it is on site at a £1.7m doctors’ surgery development for Wallasey PCT.
