Property round-up: CBRE appointed to Waterhouse; and more

CBRE North West has been appointed to let the newly refurbished 15,000 sq ft Waterhouse building at 41 Spring Gardens, Manchester.
The firm has been appointed as joint agents alongside P3 Property Consultants.
The Grade One-listed building was completed in 1891 and originally designed by Victorian architect Alfred Waterhouse, who was also responsible for the major Manchester University buildings and Manchester Town Hall.
It is owned by Wirral-based Associated Property Owners, which spent around £2m on an upgrade of the building which completed last year following the relocation of former tenant Weightmans.
Suite sizes range from just 700 sq ft to a full floor of 3,775 sq ft. Alternatively, the entire building of 15,727 sq ft could be let to a single occupier.
Kirsty Littleford, senior surveyor at CBRE, said: “Waterhouse occupies an absolute prime location at the top of King Street within Manchester’s central business district. The building offers high quality offices combining character building with contemporary finishes.”

FUND manager Highcross has secured two new lettings at its Deva City Office Park scheme in Manchester.
The firm has let 2,000 sq ft of space within the former brewery tower to digital marketing agency Return on Digital, while The Audacious Church has taken 3,500 sq ft in one of the Brewery Yard suites.
Guy Levine, CEO at Return on Digital said: “We have been impressed with Highcross from our initial meetings.
“Their property quality and level of response made relocation an easy choice over the other two properties we were considering. Now, as a tenant, it has been extremely reassuring that the level of customer care has not changed.
Alex Hyams from Highcross commented: “We are very pleased to welcome two new occupiers to Deva City Office Park so soon after acquisition. The scheme presents city centre occupiers with a distinctively attractive option – not many schemes can offer extensive onsite car parking, easy access, sensible pricing, self contained accommodation and proximity to the city centre’s wonderful amenities and these lettings emphasise that.”
