Allied London signs first pair to Tower 12

ALLIED London has announced that it has signed up its first pair of tenants to its Tower 12 office building.
Planning consultancy Barton Willmore and travel industry software firm Datalex are both set to move into the 75,000 sq ft building, which was formerly known as Manchester House.
It contains ten new retail units at ground floor and 40,000 sq ft of offices spread over the ten floors above.
The top floor has also been retained for Spinningfields Business Club – an airport lounge-style service with catering which members can pay for by the hour. The building is expected to open in summer.
Michael Ingall, chief executive of Allied London Properties said: “Tower 12 is set to become another significant landmark on the Spinngingfields estate and securing our first two commercial occupiers shows the new product is already creating a market for itself well before completion. The building is going to be a very special place to work and do business by the summer.
“Tower 12 is more than just work space.
“It is complemented by Avenue North beneath it and we have no fewer than five restaurants under offer – all to be operated by independents with fantastic track records.
“It goes to show that if the product is carefully considered and designed, it can be successful and attract different commercial operators who see and share our vision.”
The new lettings for the building were handled by retained agents OBI Property.
Partner Will Lewis said: “Despite the challenging economic climate, it is testament to the intelligent design of the space created at Tower 12 that we are able to secure lettings before the project is complete.
“Occupiers in Manchester appreciate the latest Spinningfields work space and there is strong interest in the remaining space.”
