Tubosider powers up with new kit

TUBOSIDER, a manufacturer of corrugated steel pipe for storm water drainage, culverts and tunnels, has invested in the future after buying a new piece of equipment.
The St Helens-based firm, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, has secured a funding package from Lombard and NatWest to fund the £210,000 purchase of a Pacific Roller Dye Corrugated Still Pipe Mill.
Based at Sutton Fold Industrial Estate, Tubosider provides bespoke steel pipe design to the construction trade along with prefabricated and ready-to-install solutions.
The new equipment will allow it to slash the time it takes to make different varieties of tube, allowing it to take on more work.
Jim Dwyer, managing director of he 33-strong business said: “This is an important purchase for the continued growth of the business. It will allow us much more flexibility in how we react to orders on a day to day basis and will, ultimately, provide greater capacity and income going forward.”
Vickie Marriott from Lombard said: “This is a great example of a business needing the right machinery to grow and provide what its clients are demanding and I’m pleased that we’ve been able to put this funding package together.”
