Administrators appointed to menswear chain

AN  ACCRINGTON-based retail chain which sold designer menswear ranges from six stores has appointed Leonard Curtis as administrators.

Retail Chic – which traded as Originals Clothing – operated from stores at its home town as well as in Blackburn, Blackpool, Bolton, Burnley and Preston.

Andrew Poxon and John Titley from Leonard Curtis’s Bury office were appointed as joint administrators to the company on March 14. Prior to their appointment, the company was owned by John and Julie Devenney and had been trading since 2007.

It stocked mens fashion brands such as Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, Stone Island and the Pretty Green brand launched by former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.

At the time of publication, it is not yet known whether administrators are still trading the business or if it has been sold on to new owners.
