The Alchemist to hit New York Street

LIVING Ventures, the Cheshire pub, bar and restaurant operator, is opening a second venue on Manchester’s New York Street.

It is taking its successful The Alchemist cocktail bar and restaurant theme to the ground floor of No1 New York Street.

The first Alchemist opened in the city’s Spinningfields business district in December 2010 and has become a popular venue with shoppers and office staff.

Tim Bacon, managing director of Living Ventures said: “We love the Alchemist and feel it will add nicely to another area of Manchester city centre and then hopefully beyond.

“New York Street has a lovely feel to it but perhaps lacks a “local” so the Alchemist will hopefully fill the void. It should be open mid to late June.”

As well as cocktails, the new venue – which is will be across the road from Living Venture’s Grill on New York Street – will be open for morning coffee, lunch and dinner.
