Linder Myers acquires in in Shropshire

MANCHESTER-based law firm Linder Myers has announced a merger with law firm firm Turnbull Garrard Solicitors, which will double the size of its Shropshire office.

The deal follows the firm’s recent acquisition of the business and assets of competitor firm Rowlands Field Cunningham from administrators in December.

Linder Myers managing partner Bernard Seymour said: “This is great news for our Shropshire practice and the firm as a whole as we continue with our ambitious growth strategy via further mergers and acquisitions.

“Our target is to reach a total turnover of £25m across the firm within the next two years and we’re well underway to achieving this.

He added that the expertise at Turnbull Gerrard complements its own range of services.

“With their longevity and formidable experience in the Shropshire business world, we are all extremely excited at the prospect of building on the achievements Linder Myers has made to date in the county.”

Anna James, managing partner at Turnbull Garrard, said: “We have enjoyed a good relationship with Linder Myers for a number of years. In view of the increased regulation facing high street practices this is a natural next step for the firm and we look forward to continuing to provide quality legal services to our clients in the county and beyond.”

Linder Myers now has more than 260 employees and 47 partners across its offices in Manchester, Shropshire and Lytham St Anne’s.

The firm is also targeting growth in other areas including Yorkshire, Cheshire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcester.
