Bardsley starts on site at £5m Chester school

BARDSLEY Construction has started work on a £4.9m contract to build the new Chester Blue Coat Church of England primary school.
The company, which is based at Dukinfield in Tameside, is building a new timber framed, two-storey school on Walpole Street in Chester with external play areas, car park and an access road on the existing playing field, prior to the demolition of the existing infant and junior schools to provide a new sports field and all-weather pitch.
Work is due to be completed in February 2013.
Bardsley was awarded the contract by the Chester Diocesan Board of Education under the £40m Northern Diocese four-year Framework.
Roly Bardsley, chairman of Bardsley Construction, said: “We’re delighted to be working on a project that further enhances our reputation and presence throughout the north of England, and the North West in particular.”
