Appointments: Accountants’ new president’ Sellick & more

ALISTAIR Hollows has been appointed president of the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants.
Mr Hollows, a director at IFA Mentor, succeeds Martin Robinson, chairman of Brooks Macdonald Funds, who led the Society last year.
He will represent the 5,192 members at the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants; one of the four founding Societies of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Mr Hollows will be supported in this role by deputy president Susan Jee, who was the first female president of the organisation in 2007-8.
He said: “As President, I look forward to meeting as many local members as possible and aim to ensure that the views of chartered accountants across Greater Manchester are promoted effectively both regionally and nationally.”

FINANCIAL headhunters Sellick Partnership has strengthened its permanent division with the appointment of Jonathan Moss, as executive consultant.
Formerly a principal consultant at Manchester rival Watson Moore, Mr Moss has worked in recruitment for over nine years, within the North West senior finance market.

JULIEN Irving has joined Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group as director of its Manchester office.
Mr Irving, who has joined from BDO where he was a director in its restructuring division, will work closely with Daniel Booth, national head of corporate strategies at the firm.
The Business Solutions Group has 10 offices, and employs over 150 advisors and staff operating in its corporate strategies, factoring advisory services, and rescue and recovery divisions.
