Appointments: Jarvis promoted at Intrinsic; Gresham & more

ADAM Jarvis has been promoted to chief executive at North West IT group  Intrinsic Technology after a successful stint as sales and marketing director.

Mr Jarvis has been with the Haydock company since2005, when he joined to lead Intrinsic’s entry to the voice and unified communications market. As sales and marketing director he delivered growth into new markets and achieved industry- leading revenue growth.

He said: “It’s a privilege to be able to lead Intrinsic into its next phase; we’re at a point of great opportunity. As the enterprise environment moves into the cloud we’re in a position to take control of IT provision for our clients, enabling them to get on with their day-to-day operations.”

MID-market private equity firm Gresham has boosted its North West team with the appointment of Adam Rudd from business advisers KPMG.

Mr Rudd, who has corporate finance and industry experience – most recently with Bolton-based while goods retailer DRL – brings expert knowledge of e-commerce Adam Ruddto the Manchester-based Gresham team.

Partner Andy Marsh said: “Adam is a talented individual who has a natural instinct for origination with experience in e-commerce and support services. 

“Given our current activity levels with new deals and extensive buy and build programmes, we needed to add to the team.  Adam will be tasked with sourcing new opportunities, working on new investments and assisting our portfolio companies with their acquisition strategies.”

CUMBRIA-based fire safety advisers Safety Management (UK) has appointed Dale Williams as head of operations.

Mr Williams, 57, joins from McBride, the supplier of private label household and personal care products, where he was general manager of one of its business units based at Barrow-in-Furness.

Safety Management (UK) managing director Brian Gregory said: “As head of operations Dale will play a major role in our work as we look to continue our development and growth as a national business.”

MARKET research company B2B International is beefing up its Far East operation with the appointment of Daniel Sun as Asia business development manager, to work out of its Beijing office. 

Chinese national Mr Sun has an MBA from Manchester Business School and a BSc in Computer Science and MEng in Software Engineering.

He will spend six months at B2B International’s global headquarters in Manchester before transferring to the company’s Asia-Pacific base in Beijing.
