UKFast celebrates geeks amid recruitment push
WEB hosting company UKFast is celebrating ‘geeks’ today as it prepares to recruit 100 staff this year.
Staff at the Manchester company are celebrating their inaugural Geek Pride Day in as the business seeks to reach out to bright, technically-able people for its growing team.
Founder and chief executive Lawrence Jones,said: “To me, a geek is someone who is passionate about their work and has exceptional technical skill.
“It’s people like this, who also have a gift for communication, who can offer the best support for our clients. We’re incredibly proud of the geeks at UKFast. Let’s not forget that it is these geeks who are creating the window to the new world.”
The company needs to recruit staff for its 24-hour seven-day customer support team. Last year it opened its first wholly-owned data centre and three more are set to go live in summer.
