Little Chefs up for sale

THE Liverpool office of Edward Symmons have been appointed to sell five former roadside Little Chef restaurants in the region.

The properties are available either for sale or to let and are all on major A-roads in the North West and North Wales. A  unit on the A66 at Appelby in Cumbria in a converted cottage is for sale at £85,000, a unit on the A51 at Littleton near Chester is on the market for £250,000 and the Kinmel Road Service Station on the A55 at North Wales is available for let at £50,000 a year.

A unit on the A548 at Trewern in North Wales is available to let for £25,000 a year and one on the A65 at Newby, near Lancaster attracts an annual rent of £22,500 per year.

Robert Diggle, a partner in Edward Symmons’ Liverpool office, said: “These former Little Chef properties are well known landmarks on major A-roads running through the North West and North Wales and should attract interest from residential and commercial developers as well as tenants wishing to re-open them for café or restaurant use.

“We have already received a significant number of enquiries from tenants, owner occupiers and property speculators.’’

The units are part of a portfolio of 34 former Little Chef outlets being sold nationwide.
