Business Growth Hub hosts funding conference

THE Business Growth Hub is to host a free conference aimed at helping Greater Manchester’s SMEs gain access to finance for growth.

The conference will take place on July 3 at the Bridgewater Hall and will be used by the Business Growth Hub as the launch event for a number of new initiatives, including a new North West business angels service, an enlarged SME loan fund for Greater Manchester and a new start-up loans service for young people which follows the Government’s announcement of the new initiative earlier this week.

Manchester City Council chief executive Sir Howard Bernstein and Ernst & Young’s regional chairman Simon Allport will both speak at the event.

Richard Jeffery, director of the Business Growth Hub, said: “The business support landscape in the North West has changed considerably over the past year but one message continues to come through loud and clear – a need for accessible and credible finance support solutions.

“The Financing Growth event is an opportunity for us to tell SMEs about all of the different types of finance support that are available to them.”
