Appointments: Barclays’ Liverpool chief; Hudson Hil & morel

BARCLAYS has appointed John Pitchford as its new head of corporate banking for Merseyside.

Mr Pitchford succeeds Rikki Griffifths who recently joined HSBC and will be manage and develope a team including 10 relationship directors plus support staff.

The 49-year-old previously led Barclays’ corporate banking operation for Barclays in North Wales and Chester.

He said: “As a major player within the corporate banking market, my new appointment demonstrates Barclay’s commitment to Merseyside within this highly competitive sector. Customers deserve and should expect a high level of local support and expertise from their bank.”

IT firm Hudson Hill has appointed Christina Collins as marketing director.
Formerly with business advisers RSM Tenon  she will develop the marketing and business growth strategy for the Newton-le-Williows  company, which is set to rebrand later this year.
 
Founder Ian Hudson said: ”Businesses these days need to maintain contact and customer service 24/7. Losing business due to poor IT simply isn’t an option.  Christina has the know how to explain the difference Hudson Hill can make to a business.”

LAW law firm Semple Fraser has appointed Neil Armstrong as a director in its Manchester-based construction group.

Mr Armstrong, a graduate in mechanical engineering, joins from Addleshaw Goddard.

He said: “I am really looking forward to working at Semple Fraser.  They have already made their mark in Manchester as an entrepreneurial law firm and with the quality of their clients and scale of their transactions.”

Semple Fraser’s construction group acts for Tesco Stores, Threadneedle Property Investments, Helical Bar and IKEA.

TIME Recruitment Solutions, a Manchester-based firm, is branching-out into the IT sector after hiring experienced recruitment consultant, Devin Patel.

Time Recruitment Solutions, which saw turnover reach a record £6m last year, specialises in the commercial, construction, industrial and healthcare sectors.

PROPERTY firm Warner Estate has appointed Rob Lawton as a management surveyor in its Liverpool commercial team.

He joins the company from Thompson and Moulton where he was chartered surveyor within the residential block management team and prior to that, 2020 Liverpool where he was general practice surveyor.

In his new role he is responsible for managing the Ashtenne/Space Northwest commercial portfolio, which incorporates a number of sites across Merseyside and Cumbria.

PROPERTY auctioneer, Pugh & Co has appointed three new members of staff.

Chartered surveyor David Hodgkinson joins the commercial auction team from National Car Parks, where he was head of operations. Based in Leeds Glenn Levison has joined from Sanderson Weatherall, while Pugh’s
residential arm, The Auction People, has appointed Tim Lamb as residential auction surveyor.
