FirstFound seeks 40 amid strong SEO demand

SEARCH engine optimisation company FirstFound is seeking to boost its 100 strong team by another 40 in the next few months amid strong demand for its services.

The independent Manchester company has just taken 3,000sq ft more space at Bruntwood’s St James Building, Oxford Street, taking the total to 10,500sq ft in a deal lasting to 2022.

Managing director Chris Bellamy said: “We’re growing well and are recruiting all the time – we’re also looking to acquire as well and have had a number of discussions.

“When we launched in 2000 there was a feeling among prospective clients that the Internet was a bit of a fad, but there’s not many people saying that now. Companies are increasingly looking to the Internet as it provides a more focused way of spending on advertising, and we see this trend continuing.”

FirstFound, which as well as Manchester has an office in Dublin, works with small and medium-sized businesses across a range of sectors. Turnover this year is expected to grow from £5m to more than £6m this year.

As well as SEO it provides pay-per-click campaigns and website design. The company was advised on its lease extension by Manchester law firm Kuits.

Commercial property solicitor Ray Smith said: “FirstFound is a growing Manchester business with ambitious plans.  We were delighted to advise them and wish them every success with their expansion.”
