ANH Refractories targets growth in Gulf

THE UK arm of US industrial company ANH Refractories has boosted its international sales function with a key appointment.
The £7m turnover ANH Refractories Europe, which is based in Wirral, has promoted Tom Gencarelli as an international manager to drive sales across Europe and the Middle East.
Mr Gencarelli has moved from ANH’s headquarters in Pittsburgh for his new role, which will see him targeting the petro-chemical sector in the Gulf states.
ANH which has a global turnover of $550m, manufactures materials used in linings for furnaces, kilns, incinerators and reactors operating at high temperatures.
It provides refractory solutions to many industries including aluminium, oil, petrochemical, cement and glass.
Mr Gencarelli, said: “My new role at ANH Refractories Europe represents a huge opportunity both personally and professionally. ANH has a dynamic team with big aspirations and a global focus. My role, while largely fixed on the Middle East where our sales doubled in the last year driven by strong demand in Saudi Arabia, includes every global market bar the Americas.
“This represents a hugely exciting challenge for me. Looking forward we are actively targeting markets in Israel, Kuwait and the UAE where we are already expanding our sales.”
