Bentley expands with Czech dealership

FAST-growing luxury car brand Bentley has boosted its position in central Europe market by opening a dealership in the Czech Republic.

The new outlet in Prague is located in the Smichov quarter – a business district close to downtown Prague – and is on one of the major east-west links, allowing it to be easily accessed.

The 2,500sq ft includes a showroom and service centre.

Bentley Motors reported a strong increase in deliveries across Europe in 2011 and this positive momentum continued in the first quarter of 2012.  
In the Czech Republic, Bentley’s market share in the luxury segment was 23% in 2011, and it is investing to boost further growth.

Guillaume Chabin, regional director Europe for Crewe-based Bentley said: “Bentley’s market share in the Czech Republic is among the highest in Europe. We believe there is strong potential in this market and are delighted to open this new dealership in such a key European location.”

At the opening of the premises, the new Bentley Continental GT and GTC V8 models were showcased to the Czech market for the first time. The company recently invested in a new sales function in Russia – another fast-growth market.

Bentley Prague is a joint venture with Porsche Inter Auto CZ. to establish the new dealership . The new partner is a subsidiary of the Salzburg-based Porsche Inter Auto (PIA).
