All change at software developer Godel

GODEL Technologies, the Manchester business software developer with operations in Eastern Europe, is reshuffling its top team with founder and MD Terry Bland becoming chairman.

The company, based at Manchester Science Park, has also lured Chris Sproston, currently head of software development at The Co-operative Group to join it as chief operations officer.

He will join Godel, which has seen revenues rise 30% to £3m in the last year, on July 30.

Further changes see sales director Neil Turvin become managing director and Robert Nugent promoted from finance manager to financial director.

Mr Bland said: “The changes come off the back of a strong 12 months at Godeltech with growth in revenues, staff and operations.

“We’re expanding in Belarus as customers demand more near-shore software development teams and Chris Sproston’s addition to the team brings experience in change, transition and growth which will be important at this time in our growth.

“We boast some excellent clients in Specsavers, The Co-operative Group, Tesco, Guinness World Records, Parasol Group and Morson International and under Neil’s daily management, the company can continue to go from strength to strength.”

In Belarus, where Godel already has a base in Minsk, the company is opening new software development centre in Brest, which will employ up to 30 staff in the next six months.
