Double Tree by Hilton hotel for Liverpool

HOTELS giant Hilton Worldwide is bringing its Double Tree by Hilton brand to Liverpool, a move which will create 70 jobs.

The hotelier has signed a franchise agreement with property owner Municipal Annex  to open an 87-room hotel in the city’s former Municipal Annexe on the corner of Sir Thomas and Dale Street.

The new hotel is expected to open in summer 2013. It will be the first Double Tree by Hilton property in the city, joining others in Leeds, Manchester and London, which have recently been acquired and rebranded.

The Grade II-listed building, built in 1865 be be transformed to offer upscale bedrooms, a restaurant, executive lounge, opulent spa and swimming pool, as well as conference and events facilities.

The hotel will be operated and managed by Sanguine Hospitality on behalf of Municipal Annex .
