Rickitt Mitchell leads MBO for Green + Benz

MANCHESTER-based Rickitt Mitchell has advised jewellery retailer Green + Benz on its management buy-out.
Helen Dimmick, the Chesterfield-based company’s incumbent managing director, will take a controlling stake in the business and will be joined on the new board by the finance and operations director Mark Williams and chairman of T.H. Baker, Alan Higgs.
Green + Benz, which employs 31 staff, operates from four stores including a site in Manchester’s Corn Exchange.
The management team was advised on the deal by Neil Mitchell and Victoria Edwards of Manchester-based Rickitt Mitchell.  Legal advice was provided by Giles Cheshire at Squire Sanders.
Ms Dimmick said: “To lead the management buy-out of such a prestigious and well-respected retail jewellery business is a truly wonderful opportunity. Of course we will not rest on our laurels, and plans are in place to increase the turnover of the business in the next five years with store developments, expanding product ranges and services and online technology all avenues that will be explored further.”
