Groundlevel to add jobs after funding fillip

A NORTH West facilities management provider is set to create more jobs after agreeing a funding deal.
Groundlevel, a Warrington SME with 70 staff and a turnover of £2.3m, has strengthened its position by agreeing a new facility with exisiting lender Barclays Business – the small business arm of the bank.
Groundlevel began trading in 1997 and provides facilities management services to commercial, educational, business and property management sectors in the North West and Midlands.
Its ability to invest to grow by winning more business from an exisiting customer has been challenged recently due to tight cash resources – which have now been eased.
Managing director Lewis Nunn said:”Undoubtedly, at times we have been faced with difficult issues which ultimately could have had potential fatal consequences for the business.
“Barclays has given us the opportunity to introduce new capital so we are now in a position to expand our workforce by 25% and grow the business in 2012-13 and beyond.”
Neil Shoane, a manager at Barclays Business said, “It is essential we support businesses like Groundlevel who provide jobs and contribute to a propsperous local economy.
“Barclays has been able to provide additional facilities to support working capital and wages payments throughout the negotiations with the investors to ensure that the business can grow. We now look forward to seeing the company go from strength to strength.”
