Vital looks to sign up apprentices

SALFORD engineering specialist Vital Services is planning to take on 90 apprentices.
They will be recruited over the next six months and, when qualified, will earn between £16,000 and £20,000.
The firm has already trained 77 rail engineering apprentices.
Lawrence Dobie, education and training director at Vital Skills Training, said: “The recruiting and training of skilled workers is essential to the country’s economic development overall. That’s why we are investing in this intensive recruitment programme.
“The government has pledged to fast-track major infrastructure contracts across the country to achieve economic growth so it is essential that we recruit and train workers now so that they have the skills required to deliver future projects.”
Vital is hosting an open day at Manchester Town Hall, on September 18 between 10am and 8pm for anyone aged between 16 and 24 who would like to apply.
