Transline Resource goes transatlantic

RECRUITMENT firm Transline Resource Group has established a new trading subsidiary in Canada as part of its international expansion plans.

The firm, which recruits HGV drivers and other industrial workers, has its operational base in Trafford Park, Manchester.

Over the past three months the company has launched operations in Hungary and Ireland.

The new Canadian company will operate from offices in Toronto. Its directors have appointed Gary Schiff, a partner with law firm Blake, Cassels and Graydon to its board.

Paul Beasley, Transline Resource Group’s managing director, said: “Over the past five years the UK temporary recruitment market has become highly specialist. The major players have given agencies more responsibility to provide services and at Transline Resource we have seized that opportunity by becoming far more than just a recruitment company.

“We have built up a deep knowledge of the logistics and supply chain sector and grown our business by providing swift and cost effective staffing solutions with people trained to a level well beyond the industry standard.

“Our range of services is easily transportable so we have begun to look at international markets. After extensive research we believe that Canada is the ideal choice for expansion into North America, followed by ambitious plans for other parts of the world.”

Mr Schiff added: “Whilst Transline Resource Group in the UK could have carried on business in Canada as a foreign entity, we felt the best route forward was to establish the new operation as a wholly owned Canadian subsidiary. We are confident it’s the right decision and I’m delighted to be part of such an exciting venture.”

Transline Resource increased sales in 2011 to £54.34m.
