Appointments: Edge leads audit for Deloitte, plus Thomas Barnes and Cowgill Holloway

TIM Edge is to lead Deloitte’s audit team in Liverpool.

Mr Edge has been with Deloitte in the North West for 20 years, the last seven as partner.

He will head a team of 40 and be expected to increase the work handled by the department.

BURY developer Thomas Barnes & Sons has appointed Dave McCabe as its new health and safety manager.

He will be responsible for all health and safety matters at Thomas Barnes and its sister company Nationwide Interiors.

McCabe has spent the past 10 years with Manchester-based Russells Construction and latterly Naylor & Walkden in Chorley.

Senior business development manager Andrew Field said: “These are exciting times at Thomas Barnes with the arrival of new staff across our project teams to service the ever-increasing number of projects we have on site.

“Dave will be a pivotal figure at Thomas Barnes as we strive to improve our already excellent health and safety track record as part of our dedication to continual improvement across the business.”

The group has just opened an office in Liverpool on Old Hall Street to support a number of business wins. It is on site at the University of Liverpool refurbishing the Eleanor Rathbone and Randall buildings.

BUSINESS advisers, Cowgill Holloway has added its outsourcing department with the appointment of David Holland.

Mr Holland has more than15 years experience as a finance director and also a director at Grant Thornton, where he headed the firm’s Entrepreneurial Advisory practice in Liverpool,

At Cowgill Holloway he will be responsible for providing cost-effective, outsourced financial director services for clients and prospective clients. He will also lead the firm’s Shareholder Review Service, which looks at shareholder objectives and their exit aspirations.
