Appointments: NatWest; Wickland Westcott; MYP

NATWEST has stepped up its support for women in business with the appointment of a dedicated relationship manager.

Based at the flagship regional headquarters at Spinningfields in Manchester,  Gemma Kirby’s new position is part of the bank’s commitment to encouraging and supporting female entrepreneurial talent and helping to remove the barriers for women considering enterprise as a career option.

Gemma Kirby, who has worked for parent company RBS for eight years said: “The emergence of high calibre entrepreneurs is essential to the revival of our local economy and increasingly Manchester’s women are rising to this challenge.”

RACHEL Ward has joined Macclesfield executive search agency Wickland Westcott.

With over 10 years’ experience, Ward specialises in the creation and delivery of assessment and development processes for both public organisations and private sector companies.

She will work as part of the talent management team with a number of the consultancy’s longstanding clients. She previously worked with Reed Consulting.

She said: “Wickland Westcott has a first-rate reputation within the industry as well as an impressive client base.

“I’m very much looking forward to getting to grips with my new role and helping drive the business forward.”

HILL Dickinson solicitor Gill Lloyd has been appointed chair of networking group  Merseyside Young Professionals
 
Miss Lloyd succeeds Brabners Chaffe Street’s Caroline McEvoy in the role and will serve for a year. She joined the MYP Committee in September 2011.
