Soros buys Lookers stake

A FUND controlled by the billionaire investor George Soros has bought a 4.5% stake in Manchester car dealership Lookers.
Soros acquired the shares through Soros Fund Management.
It spent about £8.4m on 12 million shares priced between 68-71p on September 19.
He made the trade in the week Trefick – the vehicle of investor Jack Petchey – sold its 17.3% stake.
Petchey was part of a consortium which made an unsuccessful bid for the company last year.
