BRABNERS Chaffe Street, which has offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston, has promoted two new partners and four associates.

Environmental law expert Claire Gregory has been promoted from associate to partner. She is head of the firm’s environment, health & safety (EHS) practice and works across all three offices.

Also becoming a partner is Liverpool-based commercial lawyer Matt Brown, who is based in the firm’s Liverpool office.  He has been with the firm since 2006.

The new associates are Liverpool-based trio David McGurnaghan (private client) and Andrius Roos and Josephine Sharrock (social housing), and Mark Morrell in the corporate team in Manchester.

Managing partner Mark Brandwood said the promotions were made: “in recognition of the progress they have made in their careers, and their contributions to the success of their teams.”

MANCHESTER firm Kuits has helped with the creation of new social enterprise, which provides professional legal and employment services for teachers.

London-based Edapt has also retained Kuits to advise on corporate and trading matters.

Commercial and employment specialists James Wall, Nicole Topping and Liz Heap advised on the company incorporation  and trading contracts.

Mr Wall, a commercial and intellectual property associate, said: “Edapt is a great concept about which the shareholders are all clearly very passionate.”

GT LAW, the Liverpool firm,  has appointed property lawyer Nora Schofield to lead up its conveyancing team.

Ms Schofield trained at Addleshaw Goddard and joins from a Manchester firm. She has recentl been volunteering at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Wigan.

GT LAW founder Gordon Tucker said: “Conveyancing can seem a daunting and complex process so we’ll continue to do things differently, keep it simple and embrace new technology.”

MANCHESTER firm turner parkinson has advised manufacturer Krones UK Ltd on a lease with Party & Play Funhouse.

Krones,  has granted Party & Play a five year lease at Westregan House, Wingates Industrial Park, Westhoughton, Bolton.

Real estate solicitor Helen O’Neill and Philip Gibbs at P R Gibbs & Co Chartered Surveyors advised Krones.
