Ex Squire Sanders trio go it alone

THREE former employment partners with international law firm Squire Sanders have joined forces after leaving international Squire Sanders to form a new niche practice in Manchester called e3.

Simon Ost, Dan Bickerstaffe and Nick Jones have set up the practice on Fountain Street in the city centre.

e3 says it is at the vanguard of a new wave of law firms. Its name represents a pledge to provide clients with legal support that is effective, efficient and economic.

The trio say they will offer a high quality service at significant cost savings, with a determined move away from “expensive city centre locations, seven figure salaries, large back office support teams and lavish corporate hospitality.”

Nick Jones said: “What we have done is listened to business, paid attention to their feedback and responded. In many ways e3 employment law LLP is the law firm that the business community built.”

Simon Ost says: “When we analysed what was really necessary to create a high performance law firm, stripping away the trappings associated with legal services, we found that we could fundamentally change the economic baseline for premier legal service provision.

“We could provide that top level of legal expertise and experience without it costing £300 an hour plus”.

Dan Bickerstaffe added: “We are committed to providing our clients with the highest possible standard of service, tailored specifically to their business.  But we will do this in a streamlined firm, drawing on a unique combination of skills and experience.”
