Cookson returns with home delivered diet business

ENTREPRENEUR Oliver Cookson, who last year sold his Myprotein business to The Hut Group, is set to launch a new lifestyle business.

Mr Cookson, who became a multi-millionaire after exiting Myprotein in a cash and shares £58m deal, is set to launch Saints & Slimmers, a home delivery diet business.

Saints & Slimmers, which Mr Cookson announced on Twitter, will build a tailored diet plan for its customers, and then deliver its slimming shakes and other products, to their homes.

Manchester-based Mr Cookson remains a significant shareholder in The Hut Group, which is expected to float on the stock market next year.

Meanwhile three former directors from Myprotein, have teamed up to launch a new sports nutrition brand named The Protein Works.

Mark Coxhead, Nick Smith and Karl Jacobie were previously marketing director, commercial director and managing director respectively of Myprotein.  Their brand is set to launch in December.
