Pinsents scores NW Football award
NATIONAL law firm Pinsent Masons, which counts the Football Association and Manchester United FC among its clients, was scored a top award at the North West Football Awards.
The firm, whose Manchester office is its worldwide centre for its advice to the football industry on employment, management, regulatory and intellectual property matters, netted the Professional Services to Football award.
The firm advises Manchester United domestically and globally on commercial, employment and corporate related matters. It was was lead adviser on the recent administration of Portsmouth FC, while other regional clients include Burnley FC, Fleetwood Town FC and Preston North End FC on immigration, transfers, development and commercial matters.

The event, owned and operated by Manchester marketing company Journey9, took place at The Point at Lancashire Cricket club on Monday night.
Other significant winners were Liverpool-based digital group Rippleffect, winner of the Business Services to Football award.
Best club marketing campaign was won by Manchester City FC, while rivals Manchester United and financial services group AON took the Best Club Sponsorship Engagement/Partnership award.
