Eddie Jordan gets a lift from Ainscough

LEYLAND’S Ainscough Crane Hire was involved in completing a yacht owned by the Formula 1 entrepreneur Eddie Jordan.

Its equipment was used to lift a 38-metre, three-tonne mast and a one-tonne boom above the 88 ft yacht in Southampton.

The yacht was built by Oyster Yachts at its Saxon Wharf yard in Southampton for Mr Jordan who used to run the Jordan Formula 1 team.
 
Gareth Jones, commercial director at Ainscough Crane Hire, said: “This was a very interesting lift to work on, not only due to the nature of the job but also because of the yacht’s prestigious owners.

“We’ve completed a number of nautical lifts over the years but have not seen such a wonderful example of craftsmanship as this in a long time.”
