Media Mix: Jacamo steps out with McCann; Mackenzie Marketing & more

MARKETING agency McCann Manchester has been appointed to handle brand strategy and creative for Jacamo – the N Brown Group’s fast- growing menswear brand.
 
The appointment follows a competitive pitch process for Jacamo, a leading fashion brand for larger size clothes targeting men in their 30s and 40s and fronted by former England star Andrew Flintoff.
 
McCann’s first task will be to help refine the positioning of the brand  and will be followed by the creation of a new multi-channel campaign.
 
The win represents a key addition to McCann’s growing retail, e-commerce  and fashion client portfolio.

WILMSLOW-based Mackenzie Marketing has recently moved to new offices and hired marketing graduate Nicholas Beeson.

The business founded by Catherine Mackenzie in 2007, is alos runs an online events portal,  Events-Manchester.co.uk

LIVERPOOL FC is seeking a new corporate communications director after the departure of Jen Chang, a former US based sports journalist, who only took up the role in June this year.

Mr Chang joined Liverpool from Sports Illustrated where he was the senior editor for football-related content.

Prior to working in media, Chang also had extensive experience in the finance sector working for investment banking and private equity firms.

Liverpool FC said he had left his role by mutual consent for family reasons.
