Tax firm targets region’s manufacturers

A MIDLANDS  tax specialist is expanding to meet growing enquiries from the North West.

R&D Tax Claims of Wolverhampton, is taking on premises in Greater Manchester to deal with increased business enquiries from Manchester, Liverpool and the North West manufacturing regions.

The firm specialises in helping SMEs in reclaiming corporation tax from HM Revenue & Customs on money spend on research and development.

The company has appointed Pamela Cunliffe as its new sales and marketing manager and she will be responsible for heading up the new premises and creating new business opportunities with manufacturing and engineering companies in the region.

Ms Cunliffe has spent her entire career as an executive PA and has worked extensively in the professional sector, including the North West Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, Manchester NHS, Liverpool lawyers Middleton and Co. and Liverpool Edge Hill University.

She said: “I’m really looking forward to the challenges of joining R&D Tax Claims. When breaking into a new territory, it’s vital to understand the culture of the area and how connections are made. I’ve spent my life in Greater Manchester and Liverpool so I’m already home, and I’m relishing the opportunity to introduce the benefits of reclaiming R&D tax credits to manufacturers and developers in my region.”
