Appointments: Regenerate Pennine Lancs; Connect2Law; Co-op & more

TIM Webber, managing director of Lancashire-based Barnfield Construction,  Ian Brown of Blackburn wallpaper maker Graham and Brown, and Stephen Greenhalgh of Rossendale kitchen manufacturers JJO, have joined the board of Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.

Regenerate Pennine Lancashire, is an economic development body which has secured over £11m of funding this year to help Lancashire businesses grow.

The board, which also includes chief executives from Pennine Lancashire’s local authorities, will contribute to decisions that will influence how the local economy is supported.

Mr Webber said: “I’m looking part of being part of Regenerate’s board, so that we can work towards making Pennine Lancashire a better place to live and work – something we feel very passionately about at Barnfield Construction.”

MANCHESTER law firm Pannone has appointed David Jabbari as chiefDavid Jabbari executive of its Connect2Law business.

David Jabbari has been appointed as chief executive of Connect2Law.

Connect2Law is a support and referral network of independent law firms with approximately 2,600 members.

Mr Jabbari aims to give Connect2Law much higher visibility for as a consumer-facing brand. He is a former partner and chief operating officer at Clyde & Co.

In addition to his role as CEO of Connect2Law, David will also join the executive board of Pannone and become a partner at the firm.

THE Co-operative Group has strengthened its trading property team with the appointment of Nicola Piper as extensions and development manager.

Nicola, from Bramhall, has worked at The Co-operative for 18 months, most recently as a project manager within the banking group. She will work on food store extensions and new developments across the country.

Before joining The Co-operative, Nicola worked for property and infrastructure consultancy, Sweett, where she worked on major developments, including Liverpool One for Grosvenor Developments, as well as the redevelopment of Blackpool Tower and Winter Gardens.

Nicola started her career as a graduate trainee at Marks and Spencer, before becoming a store manager and then moving into store development.

Martin Vickerman, national business development manager for The Co-operative Food, said: “Nicola has extensive experience of working on major developments and we are delighted she has joined the property team to help us grow the food business.

MACCLESFIELD IT solutions provider Axon IT has appointed Peter Griffiths as a senior technical engineer.

Mr Griffiths brings more than five years’ experience to the company and specialises in virtualisation and cloud computing solutions.

He joins Axon IT from Reaseheath College in Cheshire where he worked as an IT support technician.

MARKETING agency The Market has expanded its account handling team with two new appointments following several business wins.

Rachael Taylor joins the Trafford Park-based agency’s family brands team where as ‘head of family’ will be responsible for driving new business.
