Site Electrical sees sales take off

A MECHANICAL and electrical engineering contractor has reported strong growth, despite tough market conditions in the construction sector.

Site Electrical, based in Radcliffe, has seem turnover nearly double to £11m in the last two years, when it was acquired by the Eric Wright Group.

Site Electrical provides specialist contractor work to the water and waste-water industry and has around 100 staff.

The firm, based on Milltown Street, is currently working on a number of major water and waste water projects with Severn Trent Water, Scottish Water, and has recently secured its single largest contract, a £2.5m project with United Utilities.

Kieran Taylor, director of Site Electrical, said that the firm’s growth is related to its ability to deliver both mechanical and electrical elements for water-related engineering schemes, while many competitors will deliver either one or the other.

He said: ““We take pride in providing all of our clients with the same level of professionalism and quality of work, no matter how big or small the project.

“It is important to ensure that all of our clients are given the same quotation for a scheme. This will give each and every client equal opportunity to be successful with their tender submission.  We have been in business for more than 25 years and our successful track record is something we are very proud of.”

“Since being acquired by the Eric Wright Group two years ago, we have experienced continued growth and we look forward to ongoing success throughout 2013 and beyond.”

The Eric Wright Group, based in Preston, is one of the North West’s leading construction, civil engineering and property development companies.
