Hiring Hub goes for growth with new investment

MANCHESTER-based online recruitment firm Hiring Hub has secured a six-figure investment.

It has sold a 40% stake to John Laithwaite Partners (JLP), led by chief executive Bill Tannahill, for more than £500,000.

JLP is a Ripponden-based investment vehicle which also has a stake in Bolton martial arts products distributor Fightshop.com.

Hiring Hub was set up two years ago by Simon Swan and Sara Jones.

Mr Swan said: “Our business plan sees us aiming for £1.4m turnover in next 12 months, and growing to £5m plus over next three years.

“We will take on 20 people this year, starting with 12 in January who will be mainly sales consultants and account managers.”
