Arcis Altpos raises £850k

CHESHIRE based bio-tech firm Arcis Altos Group has raised £850,000 in a pre-IPO funding-round.

The Daresbury-based firm, led by Peter Whitehurst, a former director of SSL International, was advised by Manchester-based Zeus Capital.

The latest fundraisinfg follows on from Arcis’ £3.7m acquisition of Altos Medical LLC and £2.8m fundraising in May.

The company produces environmentally-friendly clearing and germ-killing products for diverse markets and has an anti-microbial technology which enables the ultra-fast killing of potentially difficult pathogens such as C-Difficle, TB and Norovirus through cleansing and cleaning applications.

Zeus Capital has backed as well as advised Arcis over the last two years. The team acting on the latest deal were; Ross Andrews, Nick Cowles and Richard Darlington.

Mr Andrews, director at Zeus Capital said: “We are delighted to have been involved with Arcis as early investors and through its transformation over the last two years leading to this latest fundraise prior to the company’s IPO in 2013.”

Law firm Shoosmiths advised Arcis on the deal.
