M2 looks east with Wakefield office

MANCHESTER-based M2, the managed print IT services company has expanded into Yorkshire.

The private-equity-backed company, has created 10 jobs with the launch of the regional office based in Wakefield,  just off f the M1 at Calder Business Park.

It is the Old Trafford company’s fourth office, adding to its HQ in Manchester and bases in London and Glasgow.

M2 sees significant growth potential in Leeds, Sheffield, Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, which will be served by the Wakefield office.

The new roles include sales and customer support and the office will also be a regional hub for technical and field based IT operational teams.
The regional office is expected to grow to 25 over the next 18 months.

M2 chief executive said “M2 has grown materially over recent years through organic growth by securing loyalty with its customers as well as attracting new customers through innovation and service excellence.

“We felt as a business we wanted to be closer to the vibrant cities along the M1 spine and ensure closer working relationships with customers and organisations in the region.

“We are delighted to have found and secured some quality professionals local to these metropolitans to promote and present M2’s services and capabilities to local businesses. As a strategic investment we are convinced this will aid our aspirations to sustain our 20% organic growth rate.”

M2 is majority-owned by ECI Partners and has annual turnover of £31.3m.
