HEROtsc doubles earnings

CONTACT centre firm HEROtsc more than doubled operating profits in the year to March.

The company, which now employs 1,200 staff at Birchwood Park in Warrington, said sales grew by 30% to £82m during the period.

Operating profits were up 117% to £8.9m, according to figures released by the firm.

HEROtsc is part of the Indian conglomerate, Hero Group. It has eight sites around the UK employing 6,000 people – up by a third during the year. Its head office is in Falkirk, Scotland.

Chief executive David Turner said: “We have performed strongly in difficult times, demonstrating year-on-year growth.

“Over the past 12 months we’ve made significant improvements to the business, both in terms of how we’re structured and the quality of product we’re delivering.”

The firm committed £11.2m in capital investment in 2012-13.
