Physio Roberts to open Blackburn clinic

LEADING sports physiotherapist David Roberts is opening his seventh clinic in the region.

Mr Roberts’ patients include Sir Ian Botham, former cricketer turned celebrity Andrew Flintoff and ex-England rugby captain Lawrence Dallaglio.

He opened his first clinic in 1986 and already has sites at Bolton, Middleton, Oldham, Old Trafford, Stockport and Sale.

Commenting on the expansion, he said: “We’ve been keen to open in Blackburn for  some time and found the former Cohen’s Pharmacy in Cherry Tree to be an ideal location.

“It’s been all systems go since – gutting the building, installing state of the art equipment, decorating,– you name it, we’ve done it.

“We open next week and will be offering a wide range of specialist treatments to improve the health and well-being of local people including physiotherapy, massage, acupuncture, one-to-one pilates and of course sports injury treatment.”

He says the clinic is not just for athletes, adding: “We’ll be treating people from all walks of life.  Some who’ve been injured in accidents or playing sport. Others who’ve got aches, pains and niggles that are stopping them from enjoying life to the full.”
